This will be the first in a series of blog posts exploring the different finishes, styles and types of doors within a commercial environment.
Whilst Fire Doors are restricted in terms of operational standards, there are many ways in which you can specify and style a Fire Door. We hope that by exploring these different options, we raise awareness of the practical and aesthetic options available.
Oak Fire Doors are one of the most popular finishes, therefore we will explore this finish first.

Some materials may seem inappropriate for the task at hand (e.g. Gold), however these are often applied as a powder coated paint along with a hard lacquer finish for strength and preservation of finish.

VARIANTS OF OAK LAMINATE DOORS
Whilst ironmongery can help add flavour to the style of door, the source of Oak can also greatly change the aesthetics of the door. This not only changes the grain but also the tone of the wood.
Whilst there are infinite types of wood stain, we have included only a couple of variants. That being said, most oak doors come without stain finish due to the traditional connotations.
