Biddenden FC held another very successful day, with a stunning turnout. The day was blessed by exceptional weather and was bustling from start to finish.
All the stands were buzzing, and lots of money was generated for the club.
Our very own Josh Loraine took this event extremely seriously, and managed to snag a large portion of the prizes from generous donors, for the highly acclaimed raffle and silent auction. Prizes included hot air balloon rides, afternoon tea at the Hythe Imperial Hotel, bowling and cinema vouchers. This generated over £700 in ticket sales.
All the earnings create a financial backbone for the club which significantly reduces the membership fees.
With donations in the bank it’s forecast, once again, to offer an extremely competitive price of £50 per year, and £3 / £4 a game for membership.
Josh started out playing men’s football at Biddenden FC, and is now coaching at the venue. Raising funds for all to enjoy is something that he is very proud of.

Bidden D’Or – Joshes Coconut Shy Football Stand
Part of the fundraising activities included a “Bidden D’Or” challenge. This consisted of 8 challenges and points were accumulated over the day, resulting in prizes.
Josh manned the Coconut Shy and was hot on his heels for the whole event.
People of all ages partook in the games. This was once again a reminder, that football is for all, and a fun sport for all the family.
Poyntell sponsored Fancy dress coaches vs parents
In addition to POYNTELL sponsoring the under 8s next season, we also sponsored the parents vs coaches fancy dress football match.
This was no holds barred action, and something both sides take very seriously.
From a goal scoring nun to a farmer guarding the sticks, this was taken as seriously as could be expected, as you can see in the highlights package below.
Cubs awards
Josh handed out the awards to the Cubs, who will be starting as Under 8s in September.
He is very excited to get going with the new season now that everyone is pepped up from the event.
